At present, almost all types of roofs can be equipped with solar energy systems, including flat roofs, sloping roofs, various tiles, and various colored steel plates (of course, they need to have a certain load-bearing capacity). Most photovoltaic modules on the market now have 60 cells, with a size of generally 1640 * 990mm and a weight of about 20kg/block, so there is not much problem with the load-bearing capacity of ordinary roofs.

2. The main reason is that there is no large area of obstruction around the roof. If there are tall buildings or trees in the east, south, or west direction of the intended installation roof, it is necessary to plan carefully and determine whether it can be installed or how much size can be installed to avoid shadows based on the local sun inclination and the daily movement trajectory of the sun. In addition, there are obstructions on the roof itself, such as elevator shafts, ventilation openings, etc. In short, small buildings that are higher than the roof may also become obstructions.

3. Generally speaking, a 100 square meter roof can be equipped with 1-1.2kW photovoltaic modules.

4. For the roof that you intend to install, first of all, you need to have your own property rights, such as the roof in your hometown or your own villa. Alternatively, if your house is rented, you need to have an agreement with the landlord regarding the construction of a photovoltaic system. For some high-rise residential buildings in the urban area, as the property rights belong to all owners, it is generally almost impossible to install on the roofs of high-rise buildings unless the signature and consent of each owner are obtained, and even if one household does not support it, it is not possible.

5. Profit. The main sources of revenue for photovoltaic systems after grid connection are:

① Subsidies. There are national and local subsidies. The national subsidy is currently implemented at 0.37 yuan/kWh (Editor's note: Only power stations registered before June 30th can enjoy this subsidy, except for some areas). It is generally 20 years from the date of grid connection and is not affected by subsequent subsidy adjustments. Local subsidies are generally provincial subsidies and municipal subsidies, which are related to local policies.

② Selling electricity revenue. According to the local desulfurization coal electricity price level, the price at which the power bureau purchases electricity generated by its own photovoltaic system varies slightly across the country. For example, in Hunan province, it is 0.447 yuan/kWh, but the difference is not too significant.

③ Energy saving benefits. Before this system, you would have paid some electricity bills every month. With this system, if you generate more electricity than you use, theoretically you will save the electricity bills you should have paid before.

It should be emphasized that if you have a high household electricity consumption or high electricity prices, or both, then investing in photovoltaics is definitely more suitable for you.
